The 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 DEF delete kit for 6.7 Cummins is an All-in-One bundle for supported RAM 2500 and 3500 Pickup Trucks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. The package combines the preloaded Mini Maxx V2 tuner, EGR valve and cooler removal hardware, and your choice of a Delete Pipe, 4-inch Exhaust System, or 5-inch Exhaust System.

This full package is designed to remove the factory DPF, DEF/SCR, and EGR systems and match those hardware changes with the correct ECU calibration. The result is a less restrictive exhaust path, no regeneration for the removed DPF, and a configurable performance setup without requiring a separate custom tune file or ECM unlock service.

Vehicle Compatibility

The RAM 2500 & 3500 6.7 Cummins DEF delete kit should not be ordered for Cab & Chassis trucks, even when the engine and model year appear similar. Those trucks use different configurations and require a C&C-specific solution.

For 2018 trucks, the Mini Maxx V2 requires its security bypass cable and replacement OBD box. The correct bypass hardware is included with the tuner for this application.

Kit Components

The exact exhaust components supplied depend on the option selected when ordering. You receive one chosen configuration, not the Delete Pipe, 4-inch, and 5-inch systems together.

Tuning & Performance

The RAM Cummins DEF delete setup uses preloaded Mini Maxx V2 calibration rather than a VIN-specific custom file. Connect the tuner through the OBD2 port, select the correct RAM platform, and install the tune before any factory emissions hardware is removed.

For most supported 2013-2018 RAM calibrations, the available menu power levels are:

These levels are selected through the Mini Maxx V2 menu; the tuner does not use Shift-On-The-Fly switching. The selected mode can improve horsepower, torque, throttle response, and overall performance depending on the truck and operating conditions.

There is an important calibration exception. Certain 2013+ RAM ECM versions are limited to 0 / +15 / +30 / +50 HP for No Power, Tow, Street, and Performance respectively. The exact available power depends on the truck's ECM calibration, so +120 HP should not be presented as guaranteed for every vehicle.

After removal, the engine no longer performs regeneration for the deleted DPF and benefits from a freer exhaust path. Fuel economy and efficiency may improve in some operating conditions, but actual results depend on load, gearing, tire size, engine condition, selected power level, and driving style.

Installation

Install the Mini Maxx V2 and tune the truck before removing or disconnecting any emissions hardware. Before programming, make sure there are no existing emissions-related warnings or codes that require the truck to remain stock for correction, and connect a battery charger capable of supplying at least 10A continuously. Follow the tuner prompts until the calibration is installed, then start the engine briefly and confirm there are no unexpected warning lights or errors.

Only after successful programming should you remove the DPF/DEF/SCR exhaust section, install the selected pipe or Exhaust System, and complete the EGR removal. RAM applications also require the throttle valve to be unplugged in the fully open position. Standard hand tools, exhaust tools, penetrating oil, and safe access under the truck are normally sufficient; a qualified diesel shop is recommended if corrosion, previous modifications, or programming issues make the install difficult.

Typical installation is approximately 3-5 hours, depending on exhaust choice, vehicle condition, and installer experience.

No separate tune file must be requested before installation because the Mini Maxx V2 arrives with preloaded supported calibrations. For 2018 trucks, the required bypass hardware is part of the applicable tuner configuration.

DEFDelete states that most orders ship the same or next business day, although different components of a bundle may ship separately. Programmed electronics, special-order exhaust systems, race pipes, delete components, and other configured products may become final sale after processing begins. Eligible physical returns generally require a request within 30 days of delivery, unused and uninstalled condition, original packaging, and an approved RMA.
