The 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel 3.0 DEF delete kit is an All-in-One package for supported Grand Cherokee models equipped with the 3.0L diesel engine. The bundle combines the Iron Loader V2 tuner, vehicle-specific ECU calibration, CAT and DPF exhaust pipe, and the option to add the EGR and cooler removal hardware.

The package is designed to replace restrictive factory DPF and DEF/SCR components and match those hardware changes with the correct tune. Vehicle Compatibility

Iron Loader is compatible with 2014-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel 3.0L applications. Later Grand Cherokee model years use different tuning solutions, so the model year must be confirmed before ordering. DEFdelete currently separates Iron Loader coverage for early vehicles from Bench Flash support offered for later applications.

Kit Components

The 2014-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel DEF delete kit does not include transmission tuning, and the Iron Loader is locked to the vehicle for which it is originally configured.

Tuning & Performance

The Iron Loader uses a Single Tune File, not SOTF. The available calibrations for this product are selected when ordering:

Economy retains factory power while allowing operation with the selected emissions components removed. EcoPower adds +35 HP, Race adds +50 HP, and Max provides up to +75 HP on a stock engine and turbo setup. Custom tuning is intended for vehicles with modifications that require an individual engine calibration.

The DEF delete kit for Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 also removes the need for regeneration of the deleted particulate filter and reduces restriction through the exhaust. Changes in fuel economy, boost response, engine efficiency, and overall performance depend on tune selection, vehicle condition, modifications, and driving style.

Installation

Complete the Iron Loader tuning before removing the DPF, DEF/SCR, or EGR hardware. Connect Iron Loader V2 to the OBD2 port, open the PowerGate app, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and read the ECU Stock File with the ignition ON and engine OFF. The Stock File is then uploaded through the app so the vehicle-specific Tune File can be created; the Stock File itself is not installed back into the ECU during this step.

The finished Tune File is normally available within 1 business day after submission. Once it appears in PowerGate, connect a battery charger, write the new calibration without interrupting power, and confirm successful programming. Only then install the CAT/DPF pipe and, if Add EGR was selected, the EGR valve and cooler removal hardware. Standard mechanical tools and safe access under the vehicle are required.

Ordering Information

Before ordering, confirm a 2014-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L EcoDiesel and select the required tune: Economy, EcoPower, Race, Max, or Custom. Then select No EGR or Add EGR based on whether EGR and cooler removal hardware is required. These are the current selectable variations shown for the complete Iron Loader kit.

After receiving the Iron Loader, the customer reads the Stock File through PowerGate and uploads it through the app. The custom Tune File is normally prepared within one business day and becomes available in the application when complete.

A battery charger is important during programming because low voltage can interrupt the ECM write. If the Iron Loader displays F002, the new Tune File is not yet available on the device; confirm that the Stock File was submitted and wait for the completed calibration before attempting to program the Jeep.

The Iron Loader is locked to one vehicle and does not include a transmission tune. Additional engine tune files can be purchased separately and remain available in the PowerGate app for later installation.
