The 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Ram EcoDiesel DEF delete kit is an All-in-One bundle designed for supported Ram 1500 pickup trucks equipped with the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine. The package combines professional bench-flash ECU tuning with the exhaust components required to remove the factory CAT, DPF, and DEF/SCR aftertreatment hardware for lawful off-road or competition applications. A 3-inch T-409 stainless-steel delete pipe replaces the restrictive factory particulate-filter section and provides a freer-flowing exhaust path.

The mechanical components and ECU calibration work together as one system. Bench-flash tuning changes the factory control strategies associated with the removed DPF and DEF/SCR systems so the truck can operate without normal regeneration and DEF dosing. Three tuning options—Economy, Stock Plus, and Race—allow the calibration to be selected according to the intended use.

EGR delete components are not included. This kit does not contain EGR block-off plates, EGR cooler removal hardware, EGR valve delete parts, or any other physical EGR delete solution.

Tuning & Performance

The Ram EcoDiesel DEF delete kit combines mechanical DPF/DEF removal with matching ECU programming. Removing the factory CAT, DPF, and SCR components without the correct tune would leave the ECU expecting sensor feedback, regeneration operation, and DEF dosing from hardware that is no longer installed.

The ECU is therefore removed from the truck and bench-flashed with the selected calibration before being reinstalled.

Installation

Installation involves exhaust removal, ECU removal, professional bench-flash programming, and ECU reinstallation. Professional assistance is recommended because this is not a standard handheld or OBD-only tuning process.

The typical installation process is:

No EGR removal is required as part of this installation because the kit does not include an EGR delete.

The 3″ T-409 stainless-steel CAT and DPF delete pipe typically ships within approximately 5–6 business days. Bench-flash tuning requires additional processing because the ECU must be removed from the truck, shipped to the tuning facility, programmed, and returned.

The mechanical hardware and programmed ECU may therefore be delivered or completed separately.

Custom bench-flash tuning and other customer-specific electronic services may become non-returnable once processing begins. Eligible unused hardware requires prior return authorization and must meet the applicable return conditions.

This product is intended only for lawful off-road, racing, or competition applications. The customer is responsible for complying with applicable emissions laws and regulations.
