The 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 RAM 1500 Ecodiesel DEF delete kit is an All-in-One bundle for RAM 1500 pickups equipped with the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine. It combines vehicle-specific Bench-Flash Tuning, a T-409 stainless steel DPF/CAT Delete Pipe, and an EGR valve and cooler removal kit for the complete 2014-2019 emissions-off configuration.

Unlike a handheld tuner, Bench-Flash Tuning is performed directly on the original ECU after it is removed from the truck and sent in for programming. The calibrated ECU works with the supplied hardware to remove DPF, DEF/SCR, and EGR-related operation, eliminate regeneration for the removed filter, and provide a less restrictive exhaust path.

Vehicle Compatibility

This RAM 1500 Ecodiesel DEF delete kit is specifically written around the Gen 2 2014-2019 EcoDiesel configuration. Tuning & Performance

Bench-Flash Tuning is a Single calibration, not an SOTF system. The customer chooses the desired tune level before the ECU is programmed.

Economy retains factory-level horsepower while recalibrating the ECU for the removal configuration. Stock Plus adds approximately 30 HP, while Race provides approximately 50 HP for customers looking for additional horsepower and torque.

The RAM 1500 DEF delete kit also eliminates DPF regeneration after the filter is removed and allows freer exhaust flow. Throttle response and drivability may improve, while fuel economy depends on tune selection, vehicle condition, tire size, load, driving style, and other modifications. Fixed MPG improvements should not be treated as guaranteed results.

Installation

The correct sequence begins before any DPF, DEF, or EGR hardware is removed. The truck should be operating correctly in its existing configuration; clear active emissions-related faults, complete a full DPF regeneration when required, resolve any DEF countdown or derate condition, and return a previously tuned ECU to stock before removing it for Bench-Flash service.

Remove the original ECU according to the supplied guide and send it in for programming. After the Bench-Flash service is completed and the ECU is returned, reinstall the module and complete the Delete Pipe and EGR/cooler hardware installation before putting the truck back into service. Standard hand tools, exhaust tools, penetrating oil, and safe access underneath the vehicle are normally sufficient for the mechanical work.

An experienced DIY owner can remove and reinstall the ECU and install the hardware, but professional help is appropriate if the truck has unresolved diagnostic faults, heavy corrosion, previous tuning, or non-factory engine and exhaust modifications.

Ordering Information

Before ordering, confirm a supported 2014-2019 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel 3.0L and select the required tune level: Economy, Stock Plus, or Race. The current product configuration uses the vehicle’s original ECU, which must be removed and shipped for Bench-Flash programming.

The normal process is:
